The  Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) of the Faculty of Graduate Studies has been established in compliance with the quality assurance system established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka. This was established to maintain the quality and standards of the Post Graduate Programmes (PGP) offered by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and conducted by the other Faculties of the University. The QAC functions as a member of the Center of Quality Assurance (CQA) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.  Its functions are guided by the Vision and Mission of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the Faculty of Graduate Studies. The primary aim of the QAC is to promote, maintain, monitor and ensure effective learning environments while conforming to the guidelines provided by the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF) and relevant Subject Benchmarks.

The QAC is headed by the Dean of the Faculty and consists of a Coordinator, Chairpersons and Board representatives from the Board of Studies and programmes of studies offered by the Faculty. In keeping with its aims and objectives, the QAC guides the coordinators and chairpersons by facilitating workshops, seminars, and trainings enabling sustainable enhancements in the programmes of studies offered by the Faculty.
