The Inauguration Ceremony of the MSc in Immunology program was successfully held on Tuesday, 28th January 2025, at the Senate Boardroom, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. This prestigious MSc program in Immunology is offered through the Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine by the Faculty of Graduate Studies. This marks the commencement of the second batch of students.
The event was graced by several esteemed guests. Senior Professor Pathmalal M. Manage, Vice Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, was the Chief Guest of the event. Among the distinguished attendees were Professor Rasika Perera, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies; Professor Manori Gamage, Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences; Professor Chandima Jeewandara, Head of the Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine; Dr. Charunya Nanayakkara, Coordinator of the MSc in Immunology program; Professor Neelika Malavige, Professor R.B. Marasinghe, Professor Sanath Mahawithana, Mrs. Madushi Egodage, SAR/FGS; Mrs. Lekha Wickramasinghe, DB/FGS; Mrs. Warnika Amaratunga, DR/FMS; Mr. Mohomed Atheeq, and staff of the Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine. The newly enrolled students also attended the ceremony, marking the beginning of their academic journey in this specialized field.
